In a joint effort between Philips Pronto and the Australian developer known as ProntoTunes, Apple programs have finally been made controllable by the popular two-way panels.

There are plenty of options available for file management and playback, but one of the most common – especially for owners of iPods, iPhones and iPads, is Apple's iTunes.  That makes it an essential for control systems.  "We are very excited to be able to offer our integrators a solution for one of the most widely used multi-media applications in the world," says marketing manager Rudy Musschebroek.

ProntoTunes is simple to set up, and controls iTunes and Apple TV via IP instead of IR, ensuring a faster response time.  You'll be able to view cover art, browse your library and playback files directly from your Pronto tablet.

The new update does more than just play back files though.  It enables multi-zone control of Apple products, with zones that can be turned on and off at the touch of a button. ProntoTunes can be downloaded by certified Pronto installers now, and is compatible with TSU9400, TSU9600 and TSU9800 control panels.
