Panasonic's 3D plasmas have met with some fine reviews, but they don't satisfy every need. They're big, to start with. That might not be a problem for most, but in rooms with limited space, a 60 inch set just won't do.
Enter the GT25 line. There are currently two models in Panasonic's new line, in both 42 and 50 inch sizes. They share many of the features of the already established VT25 sets but with a significantly lower price point. The 42 inch TC-P42GT25 comes in at $1,699 while the 50 inch TC-P50GT25 goes for $2,099. The GT25 line incorporates Viera Cast, Panasonic's web based service suite. You'll get access to Netflix, Amazon on Demand, YouTube and Twitter, among others. You can also use Skype with the GT25 sets, though you'll need to pick up a webcam that's sold separately. And of course, 3D is a key feature. You'll need to pick up glasses to use with your television, but with the GT25 you'll be able to convert 2D to 3D with the touch of a button. |
