Before you get too excited, let's talk about that whole 3D thing. The new BD-C8000 is a portable Blu-ray player that's 3D capable. The screen of the BD-C8000 isn't. You'll need to attach it to a 3D television in order to get the experience.
The initial disappointment aside, Samsung's BD-C8000 is impressive. It sports a 10.1 inch screen, though Samsung hasn't stated the resolution yet. It's got a three hour battery life, which isn't a whole lot, but it'll be enough for just about any movie you've got. Samsung's portable player also features built in WiFi, which gives you access to Internet@TV providers like Blockbuster, YouTube and Pandora. You can stream right from your PC as well, thanks to AllShare. And of course, when you're not using it as a portable player you can hook it up to a 3D capable TV and enjoy those 3D Blu-rays. You can pick up the BD-C8000 now for a price of $449. |
