3D content is hard to come by, but Warner is helping to solve that thanks to a new partnership with LG and Sony that will allow Warner to pack discs in with consumer products. Well, not actually discs per se – more like the promise of discs.

If you pick up one of LG's BX580 or BX585 Blu-ray players before December 31st, you'll also get a coupon good for a copy of 'IMAX Under the Sea 3D'.  Mail it in and your Blu-ray will be zipped on out to you.

Sony's going a little further than that.  If you get a 3D capable Sony TV, 3D Blu-ray player, or 3D glasses, you'll get a coupon for 'IMAX Deep Sea 3D'.  If you've got an all Sony system you could easily end up with as many as five copies of the same exact Blu-ray.

Remember all those copies of 'Lost in Space' you ended up with during the early days of DVDs?  It looks like the IMAX titles may be the 3D equivalent, but far better in terms of quality.
