Study Shows 3D TV Interest is On the Rise

You can call it a gimmick, the next great technological advance or anything in between, but there's no denying that 3D is hot.  A recent survey from the CEA showed as much, revealing that around 50 percent of shoppers have a positive view of 3D technology.

There's a lot of negativity in blogs and on forums about 3D, but that seems to be coming from a vocal minority, if the CEAs results are to be believed.  Only two percent of those that responded said that they had a negative view of 3D tech.

One of the biggest problems with 3D at the moment, as you might imagine, is that there's practically no content worth watching.  The other is consumer confusion and a lack of information, which the CEA is trying to change with organized national 3D Demo Days.
