Along with the BX580, the latest Blu-ray player from LG, the company released two new television lines.  Both the LX6500 and LX9500 are available now for playback of both 2D and 3D content.

The 6500 uses edge lighting combined with local dimming to create a dynamic contrast ratio of 8,000,000:1.  It sports LG's TruMotion 240Hz technology and a response time of just 2 milliseconds.  It can connect to Netflix, VUDU, YouTube and the rest thanks to an Ethernet port and optional WiFi adapter.

LG's 9500 line is a bit more interesting.  It sports full LED backlighting which leads to a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.  It's got TruMotion 480Hz if you're into that sort of thing, and a single millisecond response time.  It's also THX certified for two dimensional movies.

The LX 9500 also includes the "Magic Motion" control system, which allows you to control your television with a wave of your hand.  Practical? Hardly.  Neat? Yes. You can pick up the 47 inch 6500 for $2,699 while the 55 inch version runs $3,499.  The LX9500 line runs a bit more, with the 47 coming in at $4,300 and the 55 inch model at $5,400.
