The most visually compelling film since 'Avatar' goes up against the third 'Twilight' film this week, both of which feature actor Jackson Rathbone.  It might come as a surprise that the teen oriented vampire movie is the one that got good reviews.  But hey, you should be out barbequing this weekend anyway, not cooped up inside a movie theater.

The Last Airbender

The previews of 'Airbender,' also known as "the other Avatar movie," were among the most exciting of the year.  It's a fantastic looking film.  Unfortunately, that's all that most critics give as a positive.  Roger Ebert slammed the movie, saying that "The Last Airbender is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented."

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

If you've seen one 'Twilight' movie, you've seen them all.  'Eclipse' is supposed to be the best of the series, but the best film in a bad series is still bad.  As The Bonus View's Drew Taylor puts it: "The third film still suffers from the same staggered plotting, amateurish acting, and groan-inducing sexual politics of the previous two movies."
