If you've tried getting video from your computer to your television without an HTPC or standalone media player, you probably ran into a few problems along the way.  Blu-ray players, game systems and even TVs are capable of handling some files, but usually not all.

The Fusion HD handles just about everything you could want.  You can watch AVI, MKV, DivX, WMV and MP4 video files, and even DVD ISOs.  It handles lossless audio in AAC and FLAC format, though it's not compatible with WMA Lossless files.

Media playback is only one of the Fusion's functions though.  Pair it up with a hard drive – it'll accept internal drives up to 2TB – and you'll be able to download files using Bit Torrent right on the device, eliminating the need to transfer files from place to place.

And like all good digital media players really should, the Fusion HD has built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi.  If you don't have a problem running wires, there's also an Ethernet port in back. The Fusion HD can play back video files at up to 1080p/60Hz and sports DTS 2.0 digital audio output.  You can pick it up now directly from Nixeus or from Amazon at a price of $219.
