The app from Sling Media is available today at a price of $29.  Simply purchase and install the application and you'll have access to your Slingbox right from your phone.  You can watch, pause and rewind live television, play shows from your DVR and even order pay-per-view content.

There are a few performance improvements to the SlingPlayer Mobile app that have been made since its iPhone debut.  And it seems like the folks at Sling Media like working on Android.  "We're committed to the Android platform," says Josh Gilmore, senior vice president and general manager, "and users of our new and improved SlingPlayer Mobile application will experience one of the most complete mobile television experiences available today."
