You might want to stay away from the theaters this week, unless you still haven't caught 'Iron Man 2.' There's plenty out on Blu-ray, and I'm sure you've got a few you haven't watched yet.  But if you're really itching to get out, you've got two choices.  'Pirates of the Caribbean' set in a desert, or 'Sex and the City,' also set in a desert.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Oh Hollywood, let's just quit it with the videogame movies already.  If they haven't been done well by now, there's no reason to keep making them.  I get that someone wanted to make an 'Arabian Nights' story, but trying to tie in a game just leads to problems.

The problem in 'The Sands of Time' is that it's just not good.  It's like the worst parts of the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' flicks moved to the desert.  It's got a super-buff Jake Gyllenhaal, the gorgeous Gemma Arterton, and the horribly underutilized Alfred Molina.

Sex and the City 2

'Sex and the City 2' makes 'Prince of Persia' look great by comparison.  But you already knew that.  You've seen at least part of a 'Sex and the City' episode by now, and if you're unlucky, you've seen more.

Fans of the series will undoubtedly enjoy the latest tale of rich women doing rich women things, chatting about trivial problems and trying on lots of dresses.  As a bonus, this one's set in Abu Dhabi, and actually gets semi-political at one point.  What fun!
