It's no secret that 3D content is lacking, but Sony's got an interesting way to solve the problem.  They're giving aspiring filmmakers a chance to have their work appear on a promotional Blu-ray that will be distributed with all of Sony's 3D televisions.

Sony's looking for the ten best entries to include on the Blu-ray.  Submissions should be between 5 and 10 minutes long and show off the capabilities of stereoscopic 3D.  Oh, and since these discs are going out free, Sony asks that you keep it family friendly.

Other than that, you're free to create anything you like.  The top ten winners will have their work included on the Blu-ray.  The three best entries will also receive a full 3D home theater setup, while the next seven will get a Bravia LX900.  Fifty runners up will get 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' on 3D Blu-ray.
