A lot of larger tech companies take an impersonal and opaque approach.  You won't get any information on an upcoming product until it's already ready, and you'll get that info in a press release.  Boxee, on the other hand, tends to be friendlier and more open with their information.

Take today's Boxee Blog as an example.  Andrew Kippen revealed some very interesting information in his latest post.  Apparently, Boxee has moved closer to getting a payment system set up so users can buy apps or pay for subscriptions to services.  You'll even be able to pay with your iPhone or Android device.

But where it gets really interesting is the last sentence of the post.  "Boxee’s eventual expansion to these platforms will pave the way for universally accessible content no matter where a user is," writes Kippen.   The payment platform will be released at the end of this summer.  There's no word on when we'll start seeing mobile content.
