Warner launched the DVD2Blu program a few months back, and while it seemed like a great idea, the pricing just wasn't there.  Under the original rules, you could exchange your DVDs for Blu-rays at the cost of $7.95 per disc, with a $4.95 shipping fee per order.

It was a cool program, but if you're only getting one or two Blu-rays out of the deal, it wasn’t really worth it from a financial point of view.  The new program is much, much nicer.

To start with, pricing starts at $4.95 per disc.  On top of that, every order of $35 or more gets free shipping, which makes upgrading nice and cheap. The best part though, is that those Blu-rays are coming in the standard retail packaging.  You get the same case, the same discs and the same cover art.
