The T577 isn't going to blow your mind with a robust feature set full of widgets and apps.  As far as extras go, it's pretty barren.  NAD hopes that a solid construction and an assortment of strong playback functions will be enough to win you over.

NAD's new player offers 1080p/24 playback and features Deep Color and xvYYC support for a wider color space.  It upscales DVDs to 1080p over HDMI and to 1080i through component hookups.

The T577 provides a 7.1 channel linear PCM soundtrack with 24-bit resolution.  It decodes the latest in high definition audio formats and sends them out via HDMI or via analog outputs.  Audio can also be sent through in compressed form to a receiver or preamplifier to decode.

NAD also boasts that the T577 is incredibly quick loading, saying that only a few seconds are needed to load a disc, while ejecting a disc is instantaneous.

You can pick up the NAD T577 now at a price of $999.
