Buying cables just isn't fun.  They sit in the back of your TV, or in your home theater rack, and transport a signal from one device to another.  You can't show them off, and it's incredibly difficult to explain the need for expensive cables to non-enthusiast friends.

Accell's new ProUltra cables have one up on traditional HDMI cables though, since they're compatible with plenty of new tech.  They've got a throughput of up to 10.2 Gbps which helps out when it comes to 3-D, and they play nice with DTS-HD and Dolby True-HD.

The ProUltra cables have integrated audio return and Ethernet channels, which means you'll be ready for when internet over HDMI becomes a standard for AV components.

And of course, the ProUltra cables support resolutions up to 4K x 2K.  Chances are you don't have a source or display that can handle the high resolution yet, but once you do, you won't have to buy new cables.

The Accell ProUltra Supreme High Speed HDMI Cables are available now at prices starting at $49.99 and lengths up to 5 meters.
