Velodyne has completely redesigned their website to make it more user friendly.   For starters, there’s a ‘What to Buy’ tool that, after asking a series of qualifying questions, recommends the best subwoofer for customers.  It was designed to help beginners learn what they’ll need from their subwoofer, but it’s not a bad reference for anyone wanting to buy a sub.

It’s also got information on each step of the process, such as the differences you can expect from in-room and in-wall subs. There’s a new section called the Velo Lounge that’s full of information for those new to subwoofers.  You can check out posts like ‘What is a Subwoofer and Why do I Need One?’ which is exactly what it sounds like.

There’s a new dedicated section for the Certified Bass Professional (CBP) program as well.  It’s designed to educate both home theater and music professionals about what’s involved in getting their customers a great bass sound.

Also new to the site is the comparison feature.  You can check the basic stats on up to three subs at once.  If you want to go more in depth on one, you’re able to check out spec sheets, service forms, bulletins, manuals, a photo gallery and even wallpaper.
