It’s not hard to get people watching movies, but Epson’s after something a little bit different. The idea of plopping down on the couch is nice, but the Great American Movie Night is a promotion aimed to move movies outside.
“With Memorial Day weekend right around the corner,” says product manager Marge Ang, “the Great American Movie Night program is designed to help people across the country jump start the season of backyard barbecues and family movie nights.” The Great American Movie Night website is chock full of ideas for party themes, instructions for purchasing and setting up projectors and screens, and even some prizes too. Epson is using this opportunity to promote their MovieMate 60, an inexpensive projector with a DVD player built right in. You’ll have the opportunity to win one by visiting and registering at the site, but that’s not all Epson’s giving away. If you submit a photo of your movie night, you’ll also have a chance to grab some cash. Epson’s shelling out $2,500 to the winner for a backyard makeover. |
