Gamers and movie buffs share a lot of the same needs when it comes to projectors, but there are some specialty functions that gamers need specifically, like portability.  Optoma’s GameTime line was created to address just that.

The low priced GT360, despite the name, was designed to work with the Nintendo Wii.   It sports a native 800 x 600 resolution which is more than enough for the Wii.  You can plug higher resolutions into it of course, so if you don’t mind playing at lower than optimal resolution, the $599 GT360 may be all you need.

The GT720 takes things up by offering a native 1280 x 800 widescreen resolution.  It’s PC compatible, and accepts resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080.  It’s also got a contrast ratio of 3,000:1.  The 720 can be had for a price of $799.  The newest addition to the GameTime line is the GT700, which sits somewhere between the other two.  It’s got the same resolution as the GT720, but it only sports a 2,500:1 resolution.  It’s also cheaper, at $749.

All three projectors come with a remote and a backpack for toting it to and from tournaments and parties.  They’re nice and small, and light too at only 6.5lbs.
