LF showed off their new LX9500 today, and it looks fantastic.  It’s chock full of features that all but guarantee a great picture, but it’s the outside aesthetics that are really impressive.

For starters, the LX9500 is an impressively thin set.  It measures in at 22.3 millimeters, which is just over ¾ of an inch.  The ultra-thin look is fantastic, and the scant 16mm bezel means the picture goes almost all the way to the edge of the screen.

Of course, it’s LED backlit too.  It’s fully backlit, rather than relying on edge lighting.  The 55” version boasts an impressive 1,200 LEDs for accurate and precise lighting controls. It’s a 3D set, and comes with two pairs of glasses in Korea.  You can expect that trend to continue in the US, but there’ll likely be a pricing difference.  The 47” set goes for the equivalent of about $4,300 overseas, but a price drop for US shores is expected.
