The 4K revolution is still years off, but if you’re dying to get your hands on a 4096 x 2400 pixel projector, JVC’s DLA-SH7NLG may be just the thing.  To start with, though this is a 4K projector, it doesn’t abide by the normal rules.  It’s not a 16:9 aspect ratio, nor does it abide by the 16:10 ratio seen in some computer monitors.  At 4096 x 2400, the DLA-SH7NLG sports a 17:10 aspect ratio.

There are a total of four DVI inputs with HDCP support which support resolutions from 640 x 480 on up to 4K.  Traditional HD formats are all in there too, so your legacy content will still play.  It’ll look good too, thanks to a 10,000:1 native contrast ratio.

One of the most interesting things about the new 4K projectors is that JVC has allowed for a bit of modularity.  You can run this projector on its own just fine, but if you pair up two of them, you can run the tremendous 4K resolution in 3D.  The DLA-SH7NLG doesn’t come cheap.  It’s still far out of the reach of the average consumer at $150,000.
