Runco is the number one provider of luxury home theater solutions, and they were the first to offer THX certified projectors.  It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise then that four of the new projectors Runco offers have received THX certification.

The VX-33i and VX-33d projectors, which use a 3-chip DLP light engine, are among these.  Both projectors offer 1080p SuperOnyx, DMD and Vivix video processing and are designed for the ultimate in big screens.  Runco says that going past 120 inches diagonally is no problem for the VX series.

Runco’s Q-750i and Q-750d were the other two projectors to achieve certification.  Unlike the VX series, these new QuantumColor projectors replace traditional lamps with LED lighting.  They’re incredible energy efficient and offer a great deal of color management and customization.

“THX testing and certification aims to reproduce the detailed images, accurate colors and deep black levels found in the filmmaker’s studio,” says THX VP Rick Dean, “ensuring Runco projectors can deliver stunning visual experiences that are true to director’s vision.”
