LG put out some press releases and product details today for their new line of ultralight laptops. It’s normally the kind of thing that wouldn’t make news on a home theater site, except someone over at LG accidentally let a few details about their upcoming TV launches slip too.

Most of what was revealed isn’t too surprising, but it does shine a bit of light on LG’s plans for 3D.  The company was fairly light on 3D displays at CES.  They were essentially on the opposite spectrum as Samsung, who seemed to have more 3D sets than 2D.

LG isn’t going 3D free though.  According to the leak, LG’s 3D sets will start shipping in May, just after their new 2D sets.  The sets they showed at CES, including the new Infinia series, will be trickled out starting in March and ending in April. May will also be the first month that we see other 3D components from LG, including the company’s first 3D Blu-ray player.
