There’s a common misconception, especially in the audio world, that more is always better.   Cable companies seem to know that too, and ratchet up the specs and the prices on their cables dramatically.  Pangea’s new cables focus on necessity instead of just packing everything they can into one cable.

The problem, says Pangea, with using the thickest cable possible is that you’re sacrificing a lot for a small performance increase.  Not only are the larger cables less flexible, but the weight can actually put a great deal of strain on the chassis of your components.

The new AC-9 cable was designed specifically for amplifiers, subwoofers and power conditioners.  It sports a pair of 24K gold contacts, and double shielded conductors made of copper with a 99.99% purity.

The AC- 9 power cables vary in price and size, but stay within a fairly reasonable range.  The smallest, a 0.3 meter cable, runs $39.99.  Their largest is a full three meters for a price of $99.99.
