Chances are when you’re thinking about the latest and greatest in home theater gear, you’re not thinking about JVC. They’re not exactly known for high end items, but that’s not stopping JVC from releasing a 4K2K projector in Japan.
The new DLA-SH7NL is the second 4K projector to come out of Victor Company since 2008 and is seen as a followup to their DLA-SH4K. Of course, both projectors boast impressive resolutions, but they also share a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. JVC’s latest 4K projector sports a pair of 330W ultra high pressure mercury lamps that produce 5,000 lumens of brightness. If you’re looking for efficiency, the DLA-SH7NL can run in single lamp mode, automatically selecting the lamp with less operating time. Of course, there isn’t much that’ll output a 4K signal at this point, so multi-screen projection is an option as well. Four DVI terminals are available to connect HD sources to. The DLA-SH7NL is capable of displaying four Full HD or WUXGA signals at once. There’s no price available at the moment, though we can expect to hear more by the early March release date. |
