The new line of speakers from Canton adds a floorstanding model, center channel, and satellite speakers with a solid build and a reasonable price of entry. The CD 1090 tower speaker is slim and meant to be used for your main left and right channels. Each speaker stands just over forty inches high and is available in black, white, and silver high gloss finishes. It’s got an aluminum tweeter, two 3” aluminum woofers and another pair of 3” drivers for midrange. The suggested retail on the 1090s is $1,600 a pair. Canton’s CD 1050 is a smaller speaker that’s designed as a center channel, but can be used for left and right channels as well. It sports the same woofers and midrange drivers as the 1090, along with an aluminum manganese tweeter. Wall brackets are included for mounting, otherwise the 1050 is destined for a shelf. CD 1050s will run $550 each. |
