The Edition 8 Palladium Headphones were built with the idea that high quality headphones can look as good as they sound.  They’re based off of the original Edition 8 headphones, but they’ve added a few things to make the headphones look and sound even better.

Ultrasone’s Edition 8 Palladium headphones feature a closed back and employ S-Logic Plus technology.  The goal is to provide an acoustic feeling and an impartial musical reproduction.  They have a frequency range from 6Hz to 42kHz and sport a 40mm titanium plated driver.  “We wanted to incorporate the finest materials into the Edition 8 Palladium,” said Paul Taylor, President of Ultrasone, “Our engineers have exceeded expectations by designing a headphone that delivers remarkable clarity while maintaining a striking aesthetic.”

The outer casing of the headphones is adorned with palladium, hence the addition to the name.  Palladium is an element along the platinum group of metals that helps to eliminate tarnish and increase durability. The Edition 8 Palladium headphones are available now at an MSRP of $1,699.
