The TheaterStation Media Management System is a multi-zone video and audio solution designed to act as the central location for all digital entertainment.  The initial product launched with storage capacities ranging from one to four Terabytes, but anyone with an extensive library of ripped, downloaded or torrented movies, not to mention FLAC formatted audio, can appreciate that even a seemingly massive 4TB isn’t always enough.

Envive’s new networked storage devices are the solution, but they offer more than just hard drive space.  Each of the devices, from the 4TB tower to the 14TB rackmounted giant, can interact with client devices without the need for the TheaterStation server.

The most economical and smallest model is the TS4T-4TB tower which, as may be implied by the name, has 4TB of space thanks to four 1.5TB hard drives.  In a single rack configuration, the TS4R is available in both 4TB and 6TB sizes.

The largest of the line are the TS8Rs.  Twice the size of the TS4R, the TS8R is available in storage capacities of 4TB, 6TB, 10TB, and 14TB.  The largest size combines eight separate two terabyte hard drives – one is reserved for the program itself – into one 28lb 2U rackmounted unit.

The TheaterStation devices are compatible with most every file format available, and are compatible with not only Windows and Mac operating systems, but with Linux as well. The TheaterStation and Envive’s networked storage devices are available through authorized dealers now.
