Sleek Audio made a pretty solid impression with their $249 SA-6 earbuds, and are hoping to do the same with their new entry level SA-1 .  You can tell that something’s different about the SA-1 at first glance.  It’s stylish to be sure; the rosewood and silver colors make these a classy looking set of buds.  Surprisingly, that’s not a wood finish, the SA-1s are constructed of real Siam rosewood.

Sleek includes with the SA-1 the same VQ system featured in the SA-6 earbuds.  Two different treble port options can be screwed in front of the custom tuned driver which allows listeners to find just the right sound.  Sleek says that their 6mm driver is capable of pushing out bass equivalent to that of a driver twice the size.

The SA-1 comes with detachable black cables 54 inches in length.  They can be removed for storage, or to swap out with other colored cables which will be available from Sleek Audio in early 2010. The SA-1 earbuds are ready out of the box to work with Sleek’s CD quality Kleer wireless system and run $79.
