It seems like only yesterday that we were finally getting 1080p televisions and already we’re clamoring for something more.  With a resolution of 4096 x 2160 and 20,000 lumens brightness, the SRX-T420 certainly delivers that something. The SRX-T420 features a contrast ratio of 3,000:1, superior to Sony’s other 4K projectors, as well as performance and usability tweaks.

Sony says that the projector was created to offer system integrators and AV professionals a simpler installation that still allows for a great deal of flexibility.  For example, the T420 can equip all SXRD compatible lenses, including those from other projectors in the line.  Additionally, Windows based controller software enables control over multiple projectors from one source.

Andre Floyd, the marketing manager for Sony’s SXRD Systems says that the demand for 4k projection is increasing, especially for very large screens and domes.  The SRX-T420, available this month, was created to meet that demand.
