A high end A/V control center, the new T-175 showcases NADs music first design philosophy while still giving a lot for videophiles to latch on to. The T-175 is a Preamp, Tuner and Processor and employs NAD exclusive Modular Design Construction, or MDC.  Key components are laid out independently on removable modules which not only allow the unit to be serviced more easily, but enables a bit of flexibility in that owners are able to swap in upgraded or enhanced modules.

The T-175 is equipped with the AM 200 and VM 200 modules which add features like Audyssey Auto Calibration, MultEQ XT Room Correction and MultEQ XT Pro.  Together these functions allow custom installers and home theater fanatics a wide range of options for room corrections.  NAD’s Preamp/Tuner/Processor also features Aureus 7.1 Digital Signal Processing from TI, support for a fair number of audio formats and NAD’s own EARS II DSP.

NAD’s T-175 features the VXP processor from Sigma Designs which supports all video signals, both standard and high definition, up to 2048 x 2048 pixels.  Jagged edges are smoothed via motion adaptive de-interlacing, and features like ‘film mode detection’ and ‘programmable scaling’ help to maintain smoothness and compatibility. The T-175 Preamp/Tuner/Processor from NAD is available now at a suggested $2,999.
