With a focus on seamless integration into 5.1 and 7.1 setups, Leon has announced their new Axis series in-ceiling speakers.  Housed in full sealed acoustic suspension enclosures, Leon says that Axis speakers will maintain a high sound quality regardless of the listening environment.

Noah Kaplan, president of Leon Speakers, says that these speakers are the next step in a new direction for the company.  Kaplan hopes to establish Leon as a leader in high end custom audio solutions.  “These speakers were designed to perfectly complement our line of Horizon and Profile series speakers for flat-panel displays and simplify the job of integrating theater quality sound in any room of the home without disturbing the overall design,” he says.

The Axis line comes in 6” (AX-61) and 8” (AX-81) driver models, though both feature 1” pivoting tweeters and Leon’s Acoustic Resonance Control technology.  The A.R.C. helps to eliminate unwanted standing waves and ensures a nice smooth frequency response.

Axis speakers are able to be installed both pre and post construction.  Each speaker comes with hardware for mounting and a paintable metal grill so they can be made to match the room. The Axis speakers are available now at a price of $395 each for the AX-61 and $495” for the AX-81.
