Available later this month from authorized NAD dealers, the C 245BEE is a four channel power amp that promises some pretty strong performance.  NAD’s new power amp is rated at 35 watts per channel into 4 or 8 ohms for 20Hz to 20kHz with 0.03 percent Total Harmonic Distortion.  The C 245BEE is also able to handle 55w, 85w, and 100w dynamic power into 2, 4, or 8 ohms and 2x90w into 8 ohms in bridge mode.

Designed by engineer Bjorn Erik Edvarson, the C 245BEE is able to deliver its fine bass response by harnessing multiple discrete high-power output devices.  The flexibility of the unit is what NAD hopes will attract installers and home theater specialists to the C 245BEE.  Three power options are available, for example.  A standard front panel switch can be used of course, as can a 12V trigger control, and an ‘auto on’ option that only switches in the unit when a signal is sensed.

Each input also has a loop feature, which allows for some highly intricate setups, which allows multiple C 245BEEs to share the same signal.  Pairs of channels can be switched on and off with front panel switches. The C 245BEE will be available at the end of the month from authorized NAD dealers for $599.
