Sitting at comfortable 56” and a resolution of 3840 x 2160, Sony’s TRIMASTER seems to have everything going for it, aside from a decent name. Aimed at a professional audience, the TRIMASTER looks to steop up the game when it comes to three points: exact color, accurate image, and reliability.  Sony hopes to achieve these goals by utilizing a trio of technologies such as 10 bit drivers, a 12 bit display engine and RGB LED backlighting.

Keeping the whole theme of threes going, the TRIMASTER also features a triad of viewing options.  Video can be viewed at the full 3840 x 2160 resolution of course, but the screen is also able to be divided into four separate 1080p pictures thanks to Quad mode.  When working with a 1080p signal, the set is also able to zoom in on that signal and display it full screen.

Another interesting feature of the TRIMASTER is the SRM-Manager software that’s included with the set.  Using a Windows XP or Vista compatible PC, users are able to fine tune the television for the perfect picture.  The TRIMASTER will be available on the first of November in Japan with a price tag equivalent to just over $75,000 US.  No US release date has been announced at this time.
