Fresh off of the launch of their new portable HD headphone line, personal audio specialists Sennheiser has announced a new series of wireless headphones. Capable of a range of up to 100 meters at the high end, Sennheiser’s new offerings are geared for the home theater enthusiast that doesn’t want to compromise on sound.
High quality sound isn’t the only concern Sennheiser had in developing these headsets, style was a consideration as well. Maurice Quarre, the head of product management at Sennheiser, is particularly taken with the look of the headphones. “Clear lines and sophisticated, reflective surfaces in black, silver and anthracite make them genuinely desirable design objects.” Models range from the closed ear RS160 and RS170 to the open ear RS180, designed for sound purists. All models feature dynamic transducers and powerful neodymium magnets and a low 0.5% rate of distortion. Sennheiser’s RS line will be available worldwide this October. |
