High quality sound isn’t the only concern Sennheiser had in developing these headsets, style was a consideration as well.  Maurice Quarre, the head of product management at Sennheiser, is particularly taken with the look of the headphones.  “Clear lines and sophisticated, reflective surfaces in black, silver and anthracite make them genuinely desirable design objects.”

Models range from the closed ear RS160 and RS170 to the open ear RS180, designed for sound purists.  All models feature dynamic transducers and powerful neodymium magnets and a low 0.5% rate of distortion.  Sennheiser’s RS line will be available worldwide this October.
