Digeo launched the Moxi Mate today, a thin set-top box that allows Moxi HD DVR owners to provide multi-room access throughout their home.  It also connects to PCs and other similar networked components throughout the house.  The Moxi Mate can play all recorded video on the main Moxi HD DVR as well as media content on networked personal computers.

There is no subscription fee with the Moxi Mate, simply a plug and play system.  While the Moxi Mate is priced at a standalone cost of $399, Digeo is also running a promotion that prices the Moxi Mate and corresponding Moxi HD DVR (typically $799) at a combined price of $999.

With the software update, the Moxi HD DVR will be compatible with external e-SATA hard drives such as the LaCie 6TB drive.  The update also allows increased access to a variety of media formats on the main HD DVR system.
