Vudu’s first foray into offering movies without a set-top box comes with a partnership with LG.  The LG LH50 line of HDTVs will act as the host, and the Vudu streaming service will be the guest.  Owners of 47LH50, 50PS80, 60PS80 and 42LH50 will be able to purchase or rent high definition, 1080p movies on demand, with the ability to instantly play, fast forward and rewind.  There is no monthly fee associated with the Vudu service.

Vudu has a large library of high definition titles on the market, over 2,000 HD movies.  The Vudu/LG content will be available starting next month to all existing and future customers.
