At CEDIA 2009 in September, we will see the first THX-certified Blu-Ray player from Lexicon: the BD-30. Features include a 5 second loading time, BonusVIEW and BD-Live, support for Blu-Ray, DVD, DVD Audio, SACD, CD and files via USB, and RS232. The tentative price point for the BD-30 Blu-ray player is set at $3,499.

The BD-30 is compatible with an upcoming firmware release that will allow MC12HD to receive 7.1 PPCM signals over an HDMI cable.  This will allow it to decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS Master Audio.  This player is aimed at professional installations and CE pros utilizing PS3s or cheaper Blu-Ray players within premium systems just for the high definition.

It also seems a strange time to spend vast sums on a BD player when the new spec
for 3-D Blu-ray software/hardware is probably less than 12 months away (24
months at most)
