Virgin
Megastores, a subsidiary of Virgin Entertainment Group and Integrate
Marketing (tour producer) announce the complete main stage lineup of
the Virgin College Mega Tour (VCMT), presented by Dentyne Soft Chew
Gum. Capitol recording artist, Yellowcard, will headline the 2006
Virgin College Mega Tour, along with support from Mae. The tour will
visit 20 cities beginning in April 7th in Pomona, NJ. Yellowcard’s new
album Lights and Sounds entered the Billboard Top 200 at #5 and landed
at #1 on the Alternative Album chart. The title track and first single
was a fast hit at radio, and its video is currently in “Big 10”
rotation at MTV and is the most played video at MTV2.
Supporting Yellowcard on the main stage will be Mae who have wrapped up the video for “Someone Else’s Arms,” Mae is preparing to re-release their 2005 effort, The Everglow in early April. Rounding out the main stage and first up during the evening portion will be Virgin recording artists Over It. All artists will be featured at Virgin Megastores through the tour, as well as, the listening stations in the daytime village. VCMT’s daytime “village” will include an Emerging Artist stage, the Dentyne karaoke booth, the traveling MLB experience “Access To The Show,” Pontiac vehicles, and other games, prizes and demonstrations of the latest and greatest gadgets for the college circle.
