Boston Acoustics Announces Ultra-Slim Loudspeaker

Boston Acoustics have announced the VS 344 floorstanding loudspeaker, the latest addition to their hugely popular VS series. Priced at $1,250, this speaker features a quadruple 4-1/2-inch Organic Composite Cone Material (OCCM) bass driver design, combined with a 4-1/2-inch OCCM midrange driver and a 1-inch SuperWide Bandwidth tweeter. Like all VS Series speakers, the VS 344’s piano lacquer finish and high-gloss furniture-grade end panels cover the cabinet.

The structural elements of the cabinets are made of high-frequency-molded MDF, which feature curved surfaces that reduce internal standing waves and panel resonances, and substantial internal braces enhance the strength of the cabinets to provide an environment for the high performance drivers. It is designed for either 2-channel audio or home theater applications.
