CBS has penned a deal to begin a trial run of offering their programming via Comcast’s On Demand Online service.  CBS is the first broadcast TV provider to join up with the pay-TV service from Comcast, and has remained one of the notable few broadcasters to avoid joining forces with the free-TV service, Hulu.

Those who already subscribe to Comcast can access content on their On Demand Online portal at no additional charge, and enjoy programs from BBC, HBO, Starz and more.   The technical trial of On Demand Online will begin in the weeks to come, and will be open to 5,000 Comcast subscribers nation-wide.
