DISH Network has just announced its remote access service, available free to any subscriber with a broadband-connected ViP DVR.  This service enables access to programming and recording from anywhere in the world.  Users simply log on to their accounts via the Internet, and they can search through their desired programming.

The search feature uses a nine day guide to display available programs, and can be streamlined by keyword, genre, channel, content rating and more.  Users can access their programming and set record times as if they were in the comfort of their own homes with this new remote service.

DISH Networks has also expanded its national HD channels to include over 140 different channels.  They have just announced the addition of five more channels, including Speed, MavTV, Logo, Fashion TV and FX. Subscribers to the Classic Silver 200 HD programming package and above will enjoy Speed HD and FX HD, while the remaining new channels are available in the add-on tier PlatinumHD.  DISH will also host 24-hour live feed of The N on channel 181, and is set to unveil MSNBC in HD this June.
