ImageSony’s STR-DG920 is a 7.1-channel AV receiver for home theater application.  It is able to upscale video sources from standard definition media such as DVDs to 1080p resolution.  All of the HDMI connections on this receiver are equipped with Active Intelligence technology, which provides a compact way to transmit several signals over a single cable.  They are also compatible with Deep Color video and x.v. Color video as well as 1080p resolution.  The audio capabilities of the STR-DG920 are ideal for Blu-Ray players, as it can decode uncompressed audio as well as digital audio like Dolby Labs and dts formats.

By using Bravia Sync, users can connect multiple Sony devices, including several Bravia TVs, to this receiver and control them with one button.  The included Digital Media Port allows for a variety of devices, such as iPhones and iPods, BlueTooth enabled devices and PCs, to be connected to the STR-DG920 and played back through the speakers.  Using XM Connect & Play, users can listen to satellite radio as well.  And the audio can be optimized by using Digital Cinema Auto Calibration to adjust speaker settings with the push of a button.
