Sony’s Bravia DAV-IS50/B micro system is a compact unit that offers a big listening experience. It features five small speakers that can capture a 5.1-channel audio performance in combination with the included subwoofer. These audio features are complimented by a slim DVD drive, touch-sensitive control panel and Digital Media Port to access the included iPod dock, PC and BlueTooth files and more. The Bravia DAV-IS50/B is able to connect to S-AIR devices, which would allow it to hook up with up to four rooms and stream audio and other media directly via digital wireless technology. The HDMI capabilities of this HTiB means that DVDs will be upconverted to 1080p, and fewer cables will be necessary. The audio signals are transferred using a digital-to-digital process, and S-Master® Digital Amplifier ensures that signals are balanced and faithful to the original. Audio can be calibrated using Sony’s Digital Cinema Auto Calibration to ensure that the high-definition video matches the high-definition audio. And proprietary digital signal processing from Sony ensures that cinema sound is recreated as faithfully as possible.
