Netgear Launches the Digital Entertainer Elite

Netgear has relased their EVA9150 Digital Entertainer Elite.  The device will allow users to play digital media files from their computer on their home entertainment center.  The Digital Entertainer Elite uses either an Ethernet or wireless connection to sync up with your computer. 

It can upconvert files to that coveted 1080p, and supports playback for the following video file types: AVI, DivX, ISO, M2TS, M4V, MOV, MPG, MP1, MP2, MP4IFO, MKV, PS TS, VOB, WMV9 and Xvid.  In the audio realm, this device can play compressed AAC, MP3 and WMA, lossless AIFF, FLAC, LPCM, PCM, WAV, DTS and Dolby surround passthrough and more.  It can not only access your own files, but it can stream from the internet as well.

It includes an HDMI connector as well as composite video, component video, S-video, stereo audio and digital S/PDIF.  It comes with a 500 GB hard drive, which can be expanded via the two USB ports.  The EVA 9150 is priced at $399.
