Chesky, the company synonymous with audiophile-grade recordings, has gone one step further and improved on its previously released 96-kHz/24-bit recordings – by giving users the ability to download 192-kHz/24-bit audio master disc recordings of select tracks.

These ultra-high-quality tracks will cost $45 each, and are likely to be the highest-quality files in your music collection.  They come as WAV files on Gold Studio Master DVD-Rs, so regular CD, SACD or DVD-A players will not be able to read them.

The newly released tracks include: Monty Alexander’s “Calypso Blues Monty Alexander Plays Nat King Cole”, Monty Alexander’s ”The Good Life: The Music of Tony Bennett”, White, Williams, Colligan and Wilson’s “Hancock Island: The Music of Herbie Hancock”, Larry Coryell Organ Trio’s “Impressions” and Sam Yahel, Mike Moreno, Ari Hoenig, and Seamus Blake’s “The Jazz Side of the Moon”.
