Digeo is rolling out a Spring update to the Moxi HD DVR unit this weekend.  Notable features include access to streaming video (Hulu, Youtube), access to Rhapsody, a streamlined photo browsing interface and integration into home automation devices.

Networking will be completely DLNA certififed and offer more streamlined access to the content within a home network.  Playon capabilities will be added allowing for streaming internet video.  Users will be able to access Hulu, Youtube, Netflix, CBS and ESPN streaming video from any TV using a Moxi HD DVR.

Digeo is also rolling out access to Rhapsody, the digital music service.  Rhapsody music will be integrated into the Moxi design and allow users to reach albums, genre channels as well as personal playlists.  The graphical interface for browsing photos will get an overhaul.  The tiled photo browsing interface is titled "Mosaic".  It integrates with the previous installed Flickr access and tiles your photostream across the entire HD image.

A couple other additions include an updated navigation method for saved internet bookmakrs via the remote control and integration, titled "eControl", into contoling home automation equipment.  Directly from the Moxi HD DVR interface, users will be able to control lighting in the room for instance.

Future updates are planned for the Moxi HD DVR in 2009, but no word on when the next update will roll out.  Digeo is working on a device called the "Moxi Mate", providing multi-room access to HD DVR and other content via a small set-top box.  The current update is free for all Moxi HD DVR owners.
