ImageThe Sharp AQUOS -32GP3U-W television is specifically designed to be a gaming television.  It offers a comfortably large screen (32\u201d diagonal) in a thin package with a small footprint.  The LCD is amazing for its full conventional HD 1080p (or 1920 x 1080) resolution, the very wide viewing angle (a full 176 degrees both horizontal and vertical), so you can see the screen from anywhere in the room.  As with all Sharp televisions, the backlight is very bright (450 cd/m2), so that the colors and pictures are vivid even in bright light and it has a guaranteed 60,000 hour lamp life.  The screen has a 10000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 16:9 aspect ratio and uses the Spectral Contrast Engine UD for improved contrast and more vivid colors, including technology for deeper shades of black.  Optical picture control automatically adjusts the screen to the brightness of the room.  It also has a 6ms response time.  It has tuners for ATSC/QAM/NTSC, for viewing HD picture, digital TV, and analog, and has 3 HDMI inputs, and 2 HD inputs, as well as the ability to receive non-scrambled digital programming.  The bottom-mounted speakers are barely visible at two with ten watts apiece, offering excellent sound quality.  It also has an OPC, which adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the brightness of the room.  The best feature is the Vyper Drive game mode, designed to eliminate lag between the game console and the television.
