ImageThe Sharp AQUOS\u00ae LC-42D65U television offers a large screen (42\u201d diagonal) in a very thin package with a very small footprint.  In addition, the LCD is amazing for its full conventional HD 1080p (or 1920 x 1080) resolution, the very wide viewing angle (a full 176 degrees both horizontal and vertical), so you can see the screen from anywhere in the room, and the brightness of the backlight.  As with all Sharp televisions, the backlights is very bright (450 cd/m2), so that the colors and pictures are vivid even in bright light and offers Active Color and Active Contrast technology.  The screen has a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and uses the Spectral Contrast Engine UD for improved contrast and more vivid colors, including technology for deeper shades of black.  It also has a 6ms response time.  It has tuners for ATSC/QAM/NTSC, for viewing HD picture, digital TV, and analog, and has 5 HDMI inputs, and 2 HD inputs.  These inputs also allow you to view your photos from your digital camera on the television screen.  The AQUOS Link technology is included, which allows for excellent control of Blu-Ray Disc players.  The bottom-mounted speakers are barely visible.  It comes with hardware for ease of mounting to the wall.
