Moviegoers will have even more opportunities to see their favorite flicks in full 3D when they visit an AMC theater in the future.  Up to 1,500 more RealD 3D screens will be added to AMC locations across the US and Canada over the coming months. This new agreement puts RealD at 8,000 committed and 2,600 installed screens worldwide.

AMC released a statement indicating that there would be at least one RealD screen at every location once they are all installed. The RealD technology goes beyond the overlapping red and blue images of the past.  It is the next generation of 3D, and features life-like rendering of an entire movie in three dimensions.
