Apple announced that iTunes customers can now download, to purchase or rent, HD versions of some of today’s top blockbusters.  Within 30 days of their release, new movies will be available in the iTunes Movie Rentals in HD store for $4.99, and they will also be available to purchase for $19.99.

Two of the highlighted movies are the new James Bond, “Quantum of Solace”, and the teen vampire hit “Twilight”.  These can be preordered, and will arrive on the user’s computer on March 24th and 21st respectively.  These movies are available in a variety of formats, so that users can watch them on the Mac, PC, iPhone, video iPod or TV (using Apple TV).
